Ellen Ripley

Biography

Ellen Ripley joined Hamilton Duncan in 2022 after serving for over 7 years as in-house real estate counsel at a Lower Mainland municipality. She has in-depth knowledge of land development approval processes and has acted as lead municipal counsel in respect of many complex transit-oriented, multi-phased, high-density development applications, including air space subdivisions and rezonings.

Prior to joining the municipality, Ellen practiced for 6 years in the Commercial Real Estate and Financial Services groups at a leading national law firm, where she represented corporate and institutional investors and financial institutions in all manner of real estate and lending transactions.

Originally from Toronto, Ellen has lived in British Columbia with her family since 2004.
